What you’re not out to do is just get a sale or signup in your MLM (in this step, you’re goal is only to share the information).That is the ultimate goal, but you must learn to take a more consultative role than sales role. Focus on education and understanding first. So educate your MLM prospects on your product and/or opportunity and get them to understand what it’s all about, what the vision or mission is. They must be able to see what you saw and get excited about it. If they don’t see what you saw, it’s either the way you invited them or that they just aren’t the right prospect. Educating and creating an understanding will help your prospect make a more informed decision. Detaching yourself from the high expectations of recruiting everyone you try to invite will also make it more fun for you and the prospects.

2:22. Rule #2 of MLM prospecting is be yourself. If you’re acting like a robot or sound scripted, people will notice very quickly and will run the other way. If you’re very laid back and you’re acting like a rah rah cheerleader all of a sudden, they will definitely know something is wrong with you and you will not attract them, only repel them. On the other hand, if you’re being your truest self and coming from the heart, being vulnerable, people will also see that and then become more attracted to you and ultimately will want you to share what it is that is causing you to be more motivated or excited.

3:27. Rule #3 of MLM prospecting is be passionate. Get fired up about your opportunity, but be genuine as described in rule 2. Enthusiasm is very contagious, many successful marketers will tell you they’ve built their empires on enthusiasm and excitement alone. It’s more about this than it is to have to know everything about your company’s products or comp plan. It’s more about what you can duplicate and it’s easier to get people excited about a vision than a product. Some good ways to create that energy is to get yourself moving when speaking to your MLM prospects, listen to music that pumps you up, or maybe some motivation audios. People don’t want to listen to people who are dull and quiet. You also want to smile, even if over the phone. What this will do is set a much more positive emotion and will translate with greater results. If you’re just quiet and shy, your prospects will not believe in what your saying and think you’re not too confident about it. But if they see or hear you all jacked up about it, they will be more curious about learning of it themselves.

5:54. Rule #4 of MLM prospecting is having a strong posture. You must be bold, confident and strong. If you’re enthusiastic and fired up while talking to your MLM prospects, it’s much easier to keep a strong posture and stay in control of the conversation. As soon as you lose control of the conversation, you lose your prospect. Once you lose them it’s tough to get them back to being interested again.
